Two suspects sought after attempted ATM robbery in McLennan

The McLennan RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying those responsible for a break and enter at a local business.

The incident happened on May 24 at approximately 5:15 a.m., when two male suspects broke into a business in the area of 1 Avenue NW in McLennan where they tried to steal an ATM.

RCMP responded to the security alarm notification, and upon arrival found a broken window and evidence of an attempted crime.

Mounties have released details of two male suspects along with photos from security footage (pictures below):

Male 1:

  • Wearing orange coveralls with yellow shoulder straps
  • Purple or blue ball cap with Toronto Raptors logo on the front
  • Dark long sleeve shirt
  • Gloves
  • Short, almost shaven hair
  • Light complexion
  • Patterned bandana covering face
  • Carrying a sledge hammer
  • Wearing black and white sneakers or work boots

Male 2:

  • Wearing a camo ball cap
  • Dark mask covering face
  • Dark, short cut hair
  • Light to medium complexion
  • Blue jacket
  • Dark pants
  • Gloves
  • Winter boots

Police say the investigation is ongoing and are asking community members or businesses in the area to review security footage they may have from May 24 between approximately 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.
