North Zone Peace Health Advisory Council to hold virtual meeting

Alberta Health Services are inviting residents across the North zone to attend a virtual meetng of the Peace Health Advisory Council.

AHS North Zone leadership will share information about local healthcare delivery and services, and residents are encouraged to also provide input on local and regional health.

The virtual meeting is set for Wednesday night from 5:30 to 7 pm via Zoom, and residents can take part by emailing peace@ahs.ca with the subject line ‘Meeting’ in order to get access.

In a news release, AHS says Health Advisory Councils play an important role in supporting the strategic direction of AHS, by engaging with members of the public in their communities.

They add public participation through the Health Advisory Councils is essential to improving the quality and accountability of health services, adding that it is an important way to ensure services are more responsive to the needs of those who use them.
