Jun 23, 2023 | 8:04 AM

Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada are set to hold their 67th annual Beekeepers Field Day today (June 23rd).

The event goes from 10-4:30 at their Beaverlodge Research Farm and will include demonstrations and talks from beekeepers, as well as presentations from provincial Apiculturists, as well as researchers from the National Bee Centre.

The keynote presenter is Dr. Olav Rueppell, a professor at the University of Alberta.

The event’s goal is to showcase Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s current bee research, trends and topics in beekeeping, and the vital role that bees play in agriculture.

There is no cost to take part and pre-registration is not required.

A barbecue lunch will also be served.
