Rodeo, baseball on local sports schedule this weekend

The 41st Cranberry Lake Rodeo goes this weekend.

The All Pro chuckwagons race Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. The WRA rodeo goes Saturday and Sunday. Main performances start at 3 p.m. both days with the rodeo slack at 9 a.m. Saturday.

The Harmon Valley Amateur Open Rodeo is set for Saturday and Sunday. Start time will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Noon Sunday. There is also a barrel racing jackpot Friday night at 7 p.m.

Wheatbelt Baseball League Saturday, the County Brewers are home to High Prairie. Start time will be 1 p.m. at the Crosslink County Sportsplex. Monday, Peace River in Grimshaw. Wednesday, Peace River in Rycroft and Grimshaw in Manning. Thursday, Rycroft at the County Brewers. All those games start at 7:15 p.m.

The Northern Lights U18 AAA baseball team will host the Calgary Cardinals Saturday at 3 and 6 p.m. and Sunday at 9 a.m. and noon. All games will be played at Evergreen Park. The U15 team will host another team from Calgary on July 1 and 2.

The Peace Country Cowboys have a bye this week. The Cowboys will host the Central Alberta Buccaneers on July 8. Kick-off will be at 6:30 p.m. at CKC Field.
