County of Grande Prairie to host composting workshop

The County of Grande Prairie is inviting its residents to learn more about composting during a special workshop scheduled for next week.

Topics that will be covered include small-scale composting for households, large-scale composting for farms and acreages, as well as composting do’s and dont’s and tips for healthy compost.

The cost to take part in the workshop is $10 per family, with each family that attends receiving a County-branded compost pail.

The event is set for July 6 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Wellington Resource Centre in Clairmont, but the deadline to purchase tickets is this Friday.
