Metis Festival set to take place in Peace River Friday and Saturday
The Region Six Metis Festival is set to get underway this weekend, at the Misery Mountain Ski Area in Peace River.
From 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, July 7, and Saturday, July 8, the free and family-friendly event has a long list of various activities, musical acts, and amenities.
Including performances by Ashley Ghostkeeper, The Nicely Put Together Band, Rockin Fiddle, the Metis Child and Family Jiggers, as well as many other Metis performers.
Residents can also enjoy any of the following activities or amenities throughout the weekend; cultural crafts, face painting, Metis food trucks, pancake breakfast, jumpy castles, a trappers tent, Elder’s tent, Metis crafting tables, and a bannock and stew dinner.
