Smoke prompts Environment Canada to issue special air quality statements
Jul 10, 2023 | 6:17 PM
Environment Canada has issued special air quality statements for the Grande Prairie-Beaverlodge-Valleyview, Peace River-Fairview-High Prairie-Manning, and BC Peace forecast areas.
The weather office says smoke from wildfires is poor air quality and reduced visibility, but things should improve by Tuesday. it adds people with health issues like lung or heart diseases, seniors, kids, anyone who is pregnant, or those who work outside are at higher risk because of the poor air.
The Peace Airshed Zone Association’s updated air quality health index can be found here.
