Jul 11, 2023 | 1:34 PM

Grande Prairie’s oldest home, the Reverend Forbes Homestead and Pioneer Hospital is bringing back Afternoon Tea for select Wednesdays and Thursdays this summer.

The theme will be the Coronation of King Charles.

Afternoon tea will be offered on July 19, 20, 26, and 27, as well as on August 2 and 3, at 2 p.m.

The cost is $5 per person, which includes a scone, jam, and butter, your choice of tea, coffee, or juice, along with a tour of the homestead, and a chance to enter this year’s coronation prize basket raffle.

Mayor Jackie Clayton said in a release, ” We welcome all residents to come explore one of our community’s historical gems while enjoying time with your loved ones in the green space at the age-inclusive Forbes Homestead afternoon tea events,”

Reservations are required. To book a time slot, contact the Grande Prairie Museum at 780-830-7090.
