Four Days in the Wild kicks off tomorrow! (Thursday, July 13)

The 105th edition of the Teepee Creek Stampede is locked and loaded and ready for rodeo fans from across the greater Peace Region for Pembina Family Day to start the weekend.

Vice President of Teepee Creek Stampede Tanner Stark says this year, the rodeo rough stock performance has more cowboys than usual, making for fun-filled afternoons.

“We got 48 for saddle broncs alone, so there’s more than usual,” Stark notes there is usually around 36 cowboys in past years for the Pro Rodeo performances.

Thirty-six chuckwagons are expected to run the nightly wagon performances, making for 12 heats.

The Pro Rodeo starts daily at 1 p.m., the wagons at 6 p.m., and beer gardens entertainment in the Enframe Barn at 9 p.m.

Stark says the spirit of the weekend is to have a great time.

“If you’ve never been, check it out! I’m pretty sure you’ll enjoy yourself.”

The weather is also looking to be positive for the event, despite the smoke.
