Grande Prairie RCMP say two people are facing charges after a pellet gun was fired at a vehicle, the occupants of which included a 12-year-old boy.

Mounties say they got a report at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 18 that a man and woman had fired a pistol at the occupants of another vehicle. It was later determined that it was a pellet gun.

No injuries were reported.

Police later located the suspect vehicle at 68 Avenue and Resources Road.

RCMP say an eastbound pursuit then ensued, during which one of the people in the suspect vehicle was throwing tools and wooden blocks out the window at the officers giving chase.

A tire deflation device bought the chase to an end.

Twenty-nine-year-old Tyrone Vaughn Wiebe of Grande Prairie is facing charges that include flight from police, dangerous operation of a vehicle, and using an imitation firearm in the commission of an offence.

The charges against 30-year-old Cheyanne House of Grande Prairie include two of assaulting a peace officer and possession of stolen property under $5000.

Wiebe has been remanded. House has been released. Both are due in court July 26.
