Street Performers Festival happening this weekend

The Grande Prairie International Street Performers Festival takes over downtown this weekend.

The festival starts at 4:45 this afternoon (Friday) with the show continuing until 9:45 p.m.

Saturday’s hours are noon to 9:45. The show goes Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. with the All-Performers Big Circle Show starting at 5 p.m.

The festival is free to attend but residents are encouraged to bring cash, as these performers make money from tips.

Organizers ask that all pets are left at home, as they are not allowed on the festival site.

Because of the festival, 100 Avenue and 100 Street downtown are closed to traffic.
