Grande Prairie RCMP investigate animal cruelty in Sexsmith

An animal cruelty complaint in Sexsmith has led Grande Prairie RCMP to open up an investigation.

On July 25, at 1:40 a.m. Mounties attended 99 Avenue and 98 Street and found someone caused an inhumane death to a dog, and believe it was a targeted event.

At this time, it is still early in the investigation but Mounties do not believe there is a threat to other animals in the community and ask anyone with information on this case to contact the detachment.
