County warns of scam offering Bear Creek Folk Festival tickets

The County of Grande Prairie is warning Facebook users to be aware of a scam account claiming to give away free tickets to the Bear Creek Folk Festival.

The account is tagging visitors to the giveaway contest page, stating they have won and asking for personal banking information.

The County says they will never ask for personal information over Facebook and you should avoid clicking any links if you are messaged by the scam account.
