Three Peace Country competitors win their events at the Dawson Creek rodeo, five others in the money

Unofficial results show that some Peace Country competitors finished in the money at the rodeo at the Dawson Creek Exhibition & Stampede, including three who won their events.

Jake Watson from Hudson’s Hope took first in the saddle broncs with a score of 89.5.

Brooke Wills from Arras, BC won the barrel racing with a time of 15.68 seconds.

Chase Siemens of Chetwynd won the novice barebacks with an 85.5 point ride.

Colton Klassen of Crooked Creek and his partner Rylan Brost of Consul, Saskatchewan finished tied for second in team roping.

Pouce Coupe’s Clayton Moore finished third, while Fort St. John’s Stephen Culling wound up ninth, in steer wrestling.

Pink Mountain’s Fallyn Mills took fifth in breakaway roping.

Silver Valley’s Cody Brett took ninth in tie-down roping.
