Thirty-six GP Aquarians qualify for swimming provincials

Multiple members of the Grande Prairie’s Aquarians Swim Club have qualified for the ASSA Provincial Championship

The Aquarians Swim Club scored 940 points during the regional competition in Grande Prairie over the August 12-13 weekend; with 36 of 41 team members that competed securing a spot for provincials in Edmonton.

The Provincial Championships are in Edmonton, Friday to Sunday.

During Regionals hosted at the Eastlink Centre this past weekend, 41 athletes represented our club, and an impressive 36 of them secured spots at Provincials in Edmonton.

The Aquarians Swim Club stood out on the podium, scoring an amazing 940 points, taking first place in Region A.

With the top 2 in each event qualifying for provincials, we had 18 individual qualifiers and several 3rd-place finishers that may become wildcard qualifiers.
