Two-month-long drug investigation leads to arrest

As a result of a drug investigation by Peace Regional RCMP’s General Investigation Services that first began in June, one suspect has been arrested.

In June, Peace Regional RCMP GIS, with help from Grande Prairie Alert began investigating the sale of fentanyl and cocaine in Peace River.

Two months later, on August 16, Mounties made an arrest and laid three charges against one individual. Those charges include trafficking cocaine and fentanyl, and possession of property obtained by crime, under $5,000.

Twenty-six-year-old Jennifer Jatho, a resident of Peace River was released with a court date set for September 11.
