The Grande Prairie Regional Emergency Partnership is doing it’s best to make the evacuees from the South Slave area comfortable.
The Grande Prairie Friendship Centre is serving moose stew and bannock from 5:00 PM to 7:00 pm to give the evacuees escaping the wildfires back home a traditional meal option.
Meanwhile the Holiday Inn and Suites has extended it’s lunch time meal service by half an hour, now going from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm.
Starting Sunday, the Reception Centre will move from the front entrance of the Alliance Church to the gymnasium at the south entrance.
