Aug 22, 2023 | 9:07 AM

The Battle of the Rockies in Rocky Mountain House concluded Monday night in spectacular fashion.

Chanse Vigen won the championship race by posting the best 4-day aggregate time of 5:00.61, as well as set a new track record of 1:13.52.

Grande Prairie’s Tyler DeSutter was one of Vigen’s outriders for the championship heat, alongside outrider Ethan Motowylo.

This is Vigen’s third championship win this season; following the Grande Prairie Stompede and Ponoka Stampede.

The season concluding Century Downs Racetrack and Casino World Chuckwagon Finals starts Wednesday.

The World Champion Chuckwagon Driver will be declared Saturday night to the driver with the most points accumulated over the course of the season.

Vigen is deadlocked atop the World Standings beside Jamie Laboucane heading into the last week of the WPCA season.
