Final paving along GP’s 116 Avenue happening Aug. 25-30

Roadwork on Grande Prairie’s 116 Avenue is close to completion.

Crews are paving 116 Avenue between the Bear Creek Bridge and 102 Street with plans for the work to be completed by August 30, with line painting to follow shortly after.

While the work is ongoing the intersection of 106, 108, and 105 streets will be intermittently closed.

Once paving is completed on the eastbound lanes, traffic will switch over to the westbound ones.

Transit routes will be accommodated as the work progresses and any impact to pedestrian traffic should be minimal.
