Highway 49 spray patching work extended to September 4

Drivers on Highway 49 near Smoky River can expect delays over the long weekend delays.

Alberta Transportation’s spray patching work south of Donnelly Corner and north of Highway 2A has extended beyond the original August 29 end date and will head into the weekend.

While the work continues speed limits are reduced in the construction zone with short stoppages not exceeding half an hour can be expected.

Construction is now expected to finish Monday, September 4.
