County of GP firefighters in Hay River

A fire crew and engine from the County of Grande Prairie Regional Fire Service is providing wildfire assistance in Hay River, Northwest Territories.
The crew arrived in Hay River on September 1 at the request of the Alberta Emergency Management Agency.
In a social media post, the County says this is the first out-of-province deployment of resource for the Regional Fire Service.
As of September 2, the evacuee reception centre in Grande Prairie closed physically, but remains open on the phone line. Click here for more information.
