UPDATE: Range Road 55 at Highway 43 open again after crash

UPDATE 2: Grande Prairie RCMP say all roads are open again.

UPDATE: RCMP now say that Highway 43 is clear. Range Road 55 is still impassable between Highway 43 and 156 Avenue as a clean-up of hazardous materials continues. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.

Grande Prairie RCMP say Range Road 55 at Highway 43 is blocked after a collision between two semis Friday afternoon.

There is one eastbound lane open on Highway 43.

Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.

Mounties add that initial reports say both drivers have what they call minor injuries.

Police say one of the trucks was carrying hazardous material and officials are on scene to take care of that.
