Two more closures for emergency department in Beaverlodge coming this week

Alberta Health Services says two more closures are planned for this week for the emergency department at the Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital.

AHS says in a release that an inability to find physician coverage means there will be closures on Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. Friday until 8 a.m. Saturday.

Patients with an emergency during those times can still call 911 and be re-directed to the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital.

Nurses will be on site for triage, assessments and referrals.
