Activity & Reception Centre re-open for the public

The Activity and Reception Centre is now back open to the public, as the Grande Prairie Regional Emergency Partnership (GPREP) no longer requires the facility to support evacuees.
Regularly scheduled events will now go as planned, including the CN Rail youth drop-in times which will run until August of 2024.
This facility has closed multiple times since the start of the Northwest Territories wildfire evacuations, first on August 16 before re-opening on September 1. The facility then had to close again on September 5 to support re-homing efforts for what GPREP expected to be two weeks.
