Team Canada wins against Netherlands in Round 1 of Women’s Volley Olympic Qualification Tournament

Canada’s Women’s Volleyball team began its Olympic Qualification Tournament campaign today with a hard-fought win over Netherlands.

Team Netherlands appeared to be in control in sets 2 and 3 but was ultimately defeated in a 5th round tie breaker match against Canada, leaving the final score 3-2 (30-32, 25-19, 25-15, 17-25, 13-15).

The Canadian team includes the Peace Regions Quinn Pelland of Wanham as #26

Canada next plays NORCECA rivals Dominican Republic on Sept. 17 at 1 am Eastern Time.
