Slave Lake RCMP investigate lethal single-vehicle rollover

Slave Lake RCMP is currently investigating a single-vehicle collision that took place on Saturday, September 16, around 11:00 P.M., which led to a 46-year-old Thorsby man being deceased.

Slave Lake RCMP, Fire, and EMS attended the scene and found a pick-up truck had rolled over in the ditch.

Despite life-saving efforts by EMS, the lone occupant of the vehicle succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The name of the deceased will not be released.

During their preliminary investigation, RCMP found the truck had been traveling southbound on Highway 2 and crossed into the northbound lane, before going off-road and rolling in the west ditch.
