Camp Tamarack asks for community support & gives a fall update
Camp Tamarack says it is coming off another successful summer and is now looking for community assistance, to pay off CERB loan debt incurred over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Camp Tamarack is now raising money to pay off this debt and fund the development of winter programming for local youth.
Over the pandemic, Camp Tamarack needed funding to pay for non-discretional expenses and took out a $60,000 loan. This loan then covered costs for the two summers they were not able to operate.
However, a $20,000 incentive is being offered by the federal government to businesses that pay off $40,000 worth of debt by the end of this year. If not, the organization will have to pay back the full $60,000, with interest.
