Peace Regional RCMP make arrest for suspected drug trafficking

Police in Peace River have arrested a woman for multiple drug related charges following a successful search warrant.

Peace Regional RCMP were first called to the area of 100 Avenue on September 9, following reports of an individual discharging an air gun.

Further investigation led police to a private residence and conducted a search warrant on September 15; leading to multiple suspected drugs being seized including:

• 78 grams of cocaine
• 8.7 grams of fentanyl
• 2.6 grams of methamphetamine
• 62 various pills

Additionally, magazines, ammunition and several replica pistols were seized.

Forty three-year-old Roseanna Vivian Carifelle of Peace River was arrested charged with:

• Unlawfully discharge a firearm
• Assault
• Mischief over $,5000
• Possession for the purpose of trafficking: fentanyl
• Possession for the purpose of trafficking: cocaine
• Possession for the purpose of trafficking: methamphetamine

Carifelle was remanded into custody and given a court date at the Alberta Court of Justice for September 18 in Peace River.
