County of Grande Prairie celebrating nomination for 2023 PWPSD Friends of Education Award

The County of Grande Prairie is being recognized for its dedication to students in the Peace Wapiti Public School Division.
PWPSD nominated the county for the 2023 Friends of Education Award as a celebration of their support of education in the community, from sharing resources during municipal and school board elections to their management and support during the May wildfires.
The county accepted the nomination at a presentation attended by Deputy Reeve, Peter Harris and Councillor Brian Peterson.
The 2023 award winner was Sean Sargent and the Sargent Family Foundation, they were nominated by the Grande Prairie Public School Division.
