Canada finishes third at pre-Olympic tournament

Team Canada, despite not qualifying for the Paris 2024 Olympics, ended on a high note in Ningbo, China on Sunday.

The Canadian ladies swept Czechia 3-0 in their final, bittersweet match of the Women’s Volleyball Olympic Qualifying Tournament. Canada also beat Mexico in three sets on Saturday.

Quinn Pelland of Wanham, Alberta is on the national team, she is #26.

They finished third in Pool A with a 5-2 record, just one point shy of a guarantee to Paris next year.

There is still a chance for the Canadians to be in the Olympics through the ranking system though, as additional teams will not be decided upon until June.
