Local businessman named Zone 1 winner of 2023 Friends of Education Award

Local businessman and philanthropist Sean Sargent has been selected as the Zone 1 representative for the 2023 Alberta School Boards Association (ASBA) Friends of Education Award.
Sargent and the Sargent Family Foundation were nominated by the Grande Prairie Public School Division in recognition of their efforts in supporting local schools and students.
The Sargent Family Foundation has made many contributions to public education, including their participation in Tim Horton’s Smile Cookie Program, delivering almost 21,000 cookies to students and staff at schools across the city, and raising funds for the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation.
