UPDATE: Peace Regional RCMP locate driver of white pick-up, issued fine

Peace River RCMP say the driver has been identified and has been contacted by police.

The driver was given a ticket for $810 under the Commercial Vehicle Safety Regulation.

 

 

Peace Regional RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating the driver of a white pick-up truck hauling a trailer that was involved in a single-vehicle collision, on Tuesday, October 3.

Mounties received a report on Tuesday, around 4:15 p.m. about the collision in the area of Highway 2 and Range Road 231 in Peace River.

Once on the scene, an investigation revealed an object flew from the eastbound truck’s loaded trailer, and struck a car traveling westbound, leading to a single-vehicle collision, and the victim sustaining an injury.

The victim is currently recovering.

Peace Regional RCMP is asking anyone with information about the driver, dashcam footage from the area, or information about the incident, to come forward.
