The City of Grande Prairie is now accepting nominations for the George Repka Outstanding Achievement Award and Bill Bowes Volunteer Organization of the Year Award until Monday, October 16.

Residents, local community groups, educational institutions, and volunteer organizations are all eligible as nominees. In a news release, the City says it’s looking for individuals or organizations that make an “incredible impact in our community.”

Nomination forms and background information for the George Repka Outstanding Achievement Award and Bill Bowes Volunteer Organization of the Year Award can be found on the city’s website.

Mayor Clayton said in the same release, “We encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on the remarkable individuals and organizations you know that are making a difference in our city and nominate them for a local volunteer award.”

Most recently, the Salvation Army took home the Volunteer Organization of the Year Award, and Joseph Redhead was presented the Outstanding Achievement Award.
