Peace Region harvest completion ahead of five and ten-year averages

The latest crop report from the province and AFSC, dated October 3, says 91 per cent of the Peace Region crop had been combined as of that date.

The five-year average for the same time of year is 64.9 per cent and the 10-year average is 72.4.

Over 96 per cent of the peas and spring wheat, 93 per cent of the barley, 90 per cent of the oats, and 84 per cent of the canola were done as of Tuesday, October 4.

The report says yields are at 96.2 per cent of the five-year average across the Peace.
