A bunch of cowboys and cowgirls from the Peace Country have qualified for this year’s Canadian Finals Rodeo.

The Canadian Professional Rodeo Association says the group includes Charlie Lake’s Tyrel Roberts in saddle broncs, Brooke Wills of Arras and Lane Wills of Pouce Coupe in barrel racing, and Fort St. John’s Stephen Culling in steer wrestling.

Jett Lambert of Grande Prairie and Jake Gardner from Fort St. John both qualified in bull riding.

Chase Siemens of Chetwynd and Denver Leitch of Grimshaw both qualified in novice barebacks after finishing first and third respectively in the standings.

Brooke Wills and Gardner qualified second overall in their events while Culling was third.

The 49th CFR is set for November 1 to 5 in Red Deer.
