Peace Regional RCMP search warrant leads to two arrests

Peace Regional RCMP has arrested two suspects, following a search warrant being executed at a Grimshaw home near 55 Street.

With help from the Peace Regional General Investigation Section, (GIS) and Police Dog section, Mounties searched the home on October 5. The search turned up a number of illegal items including; meth, cocaine, and a firearm.

As a result of the search, two Grimshaw residents have been taken into custody.

Thirty-seven-year-old Gordon Shepley is facing six charges:

  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a firearm (with no PAL or RPAL )
  • Unsafe storage of a firearm
  • Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking Cocaine
  • Two counts of possession of property obtained by crime less than $5000

Shepley was brought before a justice of the peace and was released, with a court date set for October 23.

Forty-one-year-old Eliza Jackson is facing twelve charges:

  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a firearm (with no PAL or RPAL)
  • Unsafe storage of a firearm
  • Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Eight counts Breach of Conditional Sentencing Order

Jackson was remanded into custody, and this matter is now before the courts.

Peace Regional RCMP say no further updates or details are expected.
