Bear Creek metal bridge closed for trail construction

Starting Tuesday, the metal bridge connecting the South Bear Creek Ball Diamonds to the Water Treatment Plant and Waxwing trails will be closed for trail construction in the City of Grande Prairie.
Contractors will be removing vegetation and be doing gravel subbase installation on the south side of the metal bridge.
The closure is expected to last 2-3 days, weather permitting, and is anticipated to reopen on Thursday, October 19.
This is being done as part of ongoing trail reconstruction to enhance the connectivity of the trail system.
