WAD CRU drug trafficking investigation leads to two arrests

In September, the Western Alberta District (WAD) Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) began an investigation into drug trafficking in the town of Fairview.

As a result of this investigation, a search warrant was executed by WAD CRU, with support from Fairview RCMP, at a residence along 101 Street, on October 6.

The search turned up a number of illegal drugs, including:

  • Cocaine
  • Fentanyl
  • Methamphetamine

57-year-old Robert Allen and 37-year-old Brittany Salmond, both residents of Fairview, recieved three charges:

  • Possession of Cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of Fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of Methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking

The pair was brought before a Justice of the Peace, and were released with conditions, with a court date scheduled for October 25 in Fairview.
