NPHL season starts Saturday
The Grande Prairie Athletics announced they will begin their campaign for the North Peace Hockey League Championship Saturday, October 28 against the Spirit River Rangers.
The A’s 2023/24 roster will feature some new faces, following “an early end” to the playoffs last year.
Last season, the A’s finished second in league standings, with a record of 14-5-1, eventually losing to the Rangers in the second round. The Rangers had finished fifth in the league, with a 9-9-2 record.
In a release, the A’s say the group is committed to finding its way back to the NPHL final, and that journey begins with Game 1 on Saturday night, at Design Works Centre.
