Fish and Wildlife investigating after elk carcass dumped at oilfield lease site
Alberta Fish and Wildlife Enforcement says in a social media post that it is investigating after the carcass of a bull elk was dumped at an oilfield lease site in the Grovedale area.
The post says Fish and Wildlife got a report on September 22 from a site located along Range Road 83 south of Highway 666.
The elk had been field dressed, but no meat or antlers were taken.
Fish and Wildlife says tire tracks in the area indicate that the elk had been hauled on a trailer, one that was towed by a vehicle with off-road tires.
