Oct 27, 2023 | 10:12 AM

Slave Lake RCMP are investigating an early September drive-by shooting on Highway 754.

The incident happened on September 4, 2023, at around 3:45 p.m., when the detachment got reports that two vehicles were struck by bullets while travelling towards Wabasca.

One bullet entered the drivers side rear passenger door of an SUV and another bullet entered the drivers side hood of a truck. Bullet fragments were recovered from both vehicles.

One of the victims of the drive by shooting reported hearing a loud bang and observing an older black truck pass by southbound on Highway 754.

Mounties are asking for the public’s assistance to further their investigation. They are encouraging anyone with information to come forward and report information that may pertain to the case.

Police say information provided by the public can play a crucial role in helping in finding those that commit crimes and where it happens.
