Pan Continental Curling Championships starts Sunday

Kelowna is hosting the 2023 Pan Continental Curling Championships October 29 through November 4.

Brad Gushue’s team, with Beaverlodge’s Geoff Walker at lead, will represent Canada on the men’s side. Team Gushue is the defending Brier champion.

Defending Scotties champion Kerri Einarson will represent Canada on the women’s side.

Gushue will play South Korea on Day 1 while Einarson has games against Chinese Taipei and Japan.

Teams are trying to earn spots for their countries at the world championships.

Five berths in men’s and women’s for teams from the Americas, Asia and Pacific region are available at this event.

Canada is already guaranteed s spot at the World Women’s Curling Championship as it will be played in Sydney, Nova Scotia March 16 to 25, 2024.

The 2024 Men’s World Curling Championship is set for March 30 to April 7 in Schaffhausen, Switzerland.
