MD of Greenview & County earn ‘A’ for Alberta’s BDO Zone rating

The MD of Greenview and County of Grande Prairie is taking a step towards furthering Alberta’s bioeconomy.

A new bioeconomy development opportunity zone for woody biomass has received an ‘A’ rating for high-quality feedstock supply chains and infrastructure from the BDO Zone Initiative.

The zone spans a 120 km radius centered around Grande Prairie, the Greenview Industrial Gateway, and the Hamlet of Grande Cache.

This is the first rating for woody biomass in Alberta, and the MD of Greenview said in a release, it will support the province’s efforts to become a global player in the clean energy transition.
