Celtics win Peace Bowl, Cats take Athabasca Bowl

The St. Joe’s Celtics are the 2023 Peace Bowl champions.

The Celtics beat the Sexsmith Sabres 41-21 Saturday at CKC Field.

St. Joe’s will next play Hunting Hills from Red Deer in the Tier 2 provincials. The Celtics are ranked Number 1 in Tier 2, Hunting Hills Number 3.

Sexsmith will play Wainwright in the Tier 4 provincials in its next game. The Sabres hold the third overall ranking in Tier 4 while Wainwright is tenth.

Whitecourt beat Fort McMurray 29-24 in the Athabasca Bowl The game was moved to Fort McMurray after originally being scheduled for CKC Field.
