City installs new tree grove along 100 Ave.

The City of Grande Prairie says it has planted over 80 trees in an effort to make Grande Prairie look a bit nicer.
The city says trees were planted along 100 Avenue between 116 and 112 Street to add more environmental benefits to the urban corridor.
The project was chosen by City Council to address the lack of greenery in the area and to create a more sustainable and inviting urban environment for residents and visitors.
The tree planting was funded in part through an allocation of funds from the city’s capital budget.
