GoFundMe set up for local battling stage four cancer

A GoFundMe has been set up for a local Grande Prairie man, battling stage four lung cancer.
Gord Allison was diagnosed in November 2022, and was subsequently let go from his work, losing all medical benefits.
As a result, Sydney Allison, Gord’s daughter started a GoFundMe to help pay for bills and medical expenses, which has already seen over $17,000 donated to the cause.
On the page, Allison talked about Gord’s passion for helping people and longtime service to the community; from sponsoring Christmases and Thanksgiving’s for families, driving a stranger to a job interview, and opening up their home to his staff during the housing and rental crisis.
