Curling update: Sexsmith curler leads team to a win in the Alberta Curling Series

Daylen Vavrek’s team won the men’s title at the second Alberta Curling Series event of the year on Sunday in Beaumont.

Vavrek’s Edmonton-based team beat Scott Manners from Edmonton 9-5 in the final.

Vavrek is from Sexsmith.

A team from Japan beat another team from Japan in the women’s final.

The Grande Slam of Curling’s National is underway in Pictou County, Nova Scotia.
