Peace Regional RCMP on scene of a multi-vehicle collision at East Hill

UPDATE:

As of 6:30 p.m. November 9, emergency crews had left the scene and traffic resumed back to normal on East Hill.

Investigation has revealed two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision on Highway 2 between Peace River and Northern Sunrise County, approximately halfway up the hill.

Both drivers were transported to hospital in serious condition.

Peace Regional RCMP are currently on the scene of a multi-vehicle collision, in the area of Highway 2, commonly known as East Hill.

RCMP, Collision Analysis, Peace River Fire, EMS, and STARS are currently on the scene.

At this time, Mounties ask motorists to avoid the area as the collision is blocking a significant portion of the road.

Crews are expected to remain on the scene for a couple more hours.
