Temporary disruption at the Central Peace Health Complex ED

The Spirit River Emergency Department will be without a doctor in the Emergency Department until 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 11.

Residents are still encouraged to call 911, as EMS will be re-routing calls to surrounding healthcare facilities.

AHS is actively looking for coverage and the disruption could be canceled if that is secured. However, nursing staff does remain on-site to perform urgent triage, assessments and refer patients to neighboring healthcare facilities.

At this time, AHS would also like to remind residents of services available through local pharmacies, or by calling HealthLink at 811, which is open 24/7 for non-emergency health questions.
