Firefighters make donation to Grande Prairie Public School Division, Sparky’s Secret Wish back for 12th edition

The Grande Prairie Public School Division has received a donation meant to help supply students with breakfast.

The Grande Prairie Firefighters Charitable Foundation donated $10,000 to GPPSD’s Nutrition Program to ensure students have access to nutritious food essential for academic and personal growth.

The foundation has supported the Nutrition Program for over seven years now and says in a release that it continues to support local students in a variety of ways, including donating 200 tickets to the Battle of the Badges hockey game on November 26.

The Sparky’s Secret Wish campaign is also back for its 12th edition.

It allows school division staff to nominate families that could use some help at Christmastime.
